The modern electricity grid is impacted enormously by uncertainty in production from renewables; emerging emissions markets; demand response; microgrids, and other technological, economic and political developments. This NSF-supported workshop brings together researchers from economics, electrical engineering, financial mathematics & engineering, stochastic optimization and practitioners from the fields of energy and finance to discuss practical problems and quantitative approaches and challenges involving stochastic, statistical and optimization models.
